MYSTIC WIZARD HANDCRAFTS

Welcome to the MYSTIC WIZARD HANDCRAFTS blog.
This is my place to post pictures of the various things I have made, as well as things I am currently in the process of making. I started making things as a kid in the Cub Scouts when I made a wood covered scrap book containing the Sunday newspaper series about nature and wildlife entitled 'Mark Trail'. The Mark Trail series was a journalistic pioneer in environment and ecological awareness and I collected so many pages that I had to make a book to keep them all in. The front and back covers of my book were made from quarter inch plywood. The outside edges were scallopped all the way around and my dad helped me hold it over the flames of the gas stove to give it a burnt and weathered appearance. I got a Scout badge for my efforts and since that, I have made many, many things. some of which, fortunately, I remembered to take photos of. Some of these I will post here. I have always enjoyed being creative and figuring out how to make something artistically useful. I particularly enjoy working with wood, but mostly I just enjoy being productive and making things. I am currently devoting most of my energy to making individually unique handcrafted wood boxes from various hardwoods. I hope you find this blog interesting and like the things I display here.
